Telecaster 3, Switch Wiring Diagram Natebird Me,, Fonar.Me - Considered one of my fav tele wirings could be very unorthodox … general extent knob … then, a blender knob this is neck-simplest whilst rolled off all of the manner, 50/50 mix of neck/bridge at the center detent, and bridge-handiest when rolled all of the way open … then, the three-way blade switch becomes a tone manage with a few resistors switched into the circuit to characteristic like a partially rolled-off tone control … use a ordinary tele wiring to discover what ‘part manner’ resistance readings of the tone pot sound excellent to you … i liked no resistance, 100k ohms, and 250k ohms for my 3 settings … to be sincere, i not often even left the ‘no resistance’ setting because the blender knob and varying in my picking method gave me all of the tonal variety i wished.

This offers you the standard tele sounds inside the first three positions. But in position 4, you get both pickups in collection like a humbucker. It’s a big improve in output and a big, fats tone.

I simply did the 4-way mod in a telecaster for a chum. It definitely added to the sonic capability of the tele, and now you may get conventional malcom young tones out of the guitar!.

I've a seymour duncan that has a n1 decal on the lowest, it has staggered pole pieces on the top and rails on the bottom of the pickup. It has 3 conductors white, red, bare and the bare cord is soldered to the rails on the lowest. I tested it and the pink is warm and the white is neg. Does every body understand what pickup that is and how is this wired in a four manner switch placing? So does this make the white wire a coil tap? Or is it simply another ground or each?.

But you need to make one critical adjustment: the neck pickup’s cowl has to be grounded with a separate twine. That means you have to flip the pickup over and reduce the little un-insulated jumper cord that connects to the quilt. That leaves a 1/4-inch nub of twine linked to the duvet. Connect a new twine to that, and connect it to floor.
